THE END

A snow white rose

Dewy, fragrant.

Broken off its nourishing stem

Left to wither

In a garbage heap.

A chirpy nightingale

Smiling, happy

Caught in a deliberate trap

Left to cheep in pain

In a ditch.

A beaming sun

Confident, noble

Hidden behind rain clouds

Left to nurse its pride

In solitude.

Mother Life

Giving, blessing

Starved into submission

By apathy and misuse

To lose hope and die.
