The Conversation Of Agya And Gyaanaah

[
Note: The following is an excerpt from a play I am writing.
If you know Sanskrit then I hope you recognize the characters as
Ignorance and Knowledge. The excerpted scene here is when Agya tries to
banish Gyaanaah to the darkest part of the castle keep.
It is an age old story but I am presenting it in sonnet form. As with all
my work I welcome your comments. ]
Agya
"I have had enough of this before me
Remove it now and place it in the keep
So the moon and sun it will no more see.
And let it drink the tears I saw it weep
In weakness. I curse it now to ever
Ache within from the bruise of freedom lost
And darkness in the knowing that never
But to its own ears shall its words be tossed.
Go before the black death of its weakness
Has one more second to sit before us.
Its strength I've shown to be not but meekness.
So take it now for the gods implore us
To rid the world of it and all its lies
Concerning what it calls its truth implies."
Gyaanaah
"To what end does the rage propel your heart?
Or raise the pustule of the putrid soul
That is the you who does this spell impart?
Oh, evil is who has an evil goal.
I stand alone in torment at the lack
Of any sensibility to tell
Before hand the informant of attack
That comes with the ability of hell.
To at the least attempt to transform truth
From honesty to what cannot be told
To anyone who stares too long at youth.
Or doesn't realize just what's been sold.
Yet I will fight and if the fight I lose
Then I will have a reason for the bruise."
