ALL AND NOTHING

She is the mother

The anchor of her home

The pillar around whom

Everything stands.

She is the wife

To care and be there

And keep him warm

On cold winter nights.

She is the daughter

Who obeys and respects

And learns and grows

From her parents’ follies.

She is the friend

Who will laugh and cry

And share all

But herself.

She is everything

A woman can be.

Everything

But me.
