WHEN I WAS...

When I was young, a lad in school,
I played the game by my own rule
Now as a man of age I see
What doing so applied to me.

It's not that I was right or wrong
In weathering the fight so long
But as I stood my ground you see
What once was loose was bound to me.

So now I am though incomplete
The sum of the production's feat
But certainly not still I see
The burden's not the will of me.
