THE SEASONS WITHIN

I searched high and low

I looked far and wide

My eyes were tired, my feet sore

Still my search wouldn’t abide

My questions were without answers

Mum were the powers that be

Till one day I realized

The answers lay within me

The fierce heat of summer

The fresh hope of spring

The moulting of autumn

The winter within

I held all inside me, never had a clue

Changed was contained within me

There was nothing anyone else could do

This secret I had locked away

Only I could set it free

It was time to unlock the door

I held the key
