I have often heard this said
There is a silver lining to every dark cloud
But in my life there doesn't seem to be one.
Cause the cloud that hangs over me;
Seems not to give showers of rain
Nor yet let’s the sun smile through, bringing
Forth the flowers from the barren soil of my soul.
I look up at you wondering what you have in store
Sunshine or rain I am prepared for both.
As long as I know, you won't fail;
There’s no silver lining to you, well it matters not,
For I look upon you not with hope
But with a kind of an awe at your immensity!
The sway you hold over lives so many
What untold secrets you hold, probably I'll never know:
I may not reach the heights of success
Nor the zenith of fame and fortune
But what I really want to know is
If what you have in store holds the wealth of love.
So tell me now cause I'd like to know
Once for all if I need to hope
Reveal to me your secrets o dark cloud of destiny
Don't keep me waiting so long!
When tomorrow dawns without me
