THE SOUL CRIES

I AM trying very hard to hold back the tears.

The fear of being teased is fresh in my mind

To attract the attention of my peers,

I wish I could ask for a sign.

My inner soul cries aloud

But it is never heard

Is it because I am too proud?

Or is it because I seem like a nerd?

Someone please answer me

I need to know desperately

It is not that I indulge in self-pity

All I need is help for my misery

Waiting and waiting

Nothing seems to be happening

I am getting tired and uninspired

Therefore, for shall stay quiet.
