A VIRTUAL BIRTHDAY WISH

My eyes follow the sky
to its limits
( or the lack of it)
Find the sky getting rolled up
draping you
in a Saree
embroidered with Stars........

My hands tremble
as they pick up
the rising sun
passionately place it
on your forehead
as a "Bindi"

My fingers scramble through
the red dawn..
and put it in  betwixt
your parting of hair
as vermillion...

all the time looking into your eyes
seeing waves after waves of
love swelling up from the ocean
of your heart......

maybe , it all sounds unreal
but all the same
as real as I wish you
a very happy birthday
though away from you....
