ANOTHER SAD GOODBYE

Another sad goodbye
I promised myself I wouldn’t cry
I know we were together
For a good many years
But I guess this is the end
I have to dry these tears
We walked many paths
Some were easy, some hard
Constant companions through the days
As we explored lands that before us lay
We stuck together like true friends do
We knew each another through and through
But I guess this is the end
On my final decision I can’t bend
This relationship has worn out
About that there is no doubt
It’s over, there is no excuse
After all, as anyone would say,
“They were just a pair of shoes!”

Women and Shoes. Yes we share a unique relationship!! I recently lay to rest my very old, very comfortable, favorite pair of shoes, whose demise I lament through this poem.
