Apathy is lack of interest
how befitting a word
never once have you asked
hey howre you this morning
are you sad or happy
tell me howre you feeling
never once have you asked
tell me your likes and dislikes
or do you have any dreams?
never once have you asked me
what can i do for you
if you are feeling so blue
never once have you addressed me
with a name i have been given
its a mere hi and a mere bye
dont think i blame you for this
im no woman for you to extend
any warmth or concern
a mere flashing icon
cold as the cables connec--tion
theres nothing to contend
i can only pretend
no broken heart to mend
my story is no legend
but a cross to bear till my end
