THE WORLD TODAY

 

Night and Dawn

Sometimes When I am sitting all alone,

I watch the night dissolve into a Dawn.

I get nervous with an enormous thought,

Like a stalked Dear in light is caught!!

What on Earth have us Humans wrought,

Right through the History have we fought!!

Fulfillment of desires have we sought,

Fed our bodies- in souls there was a drought!!

Shopping for pleasures-pain we have bought,

Alas, all efforts have come to a naught!!

The Generations will question all that we taught,

Glorifying desires - only miseries we brought!!

Sometimes I shiver and feel alone

And watch this night linger in a Dawn.
