THERE IS ONLY ONE YOU
My sincere apologies, I present to thee,
I cannot change myself, this is me.
I tried to change, on your advice,
But habits of years can’t be changed in a trice.
“Don’t show what you are” was your first rule,
Do you take the world, to be full of fools?
“Stop caring” you said, I tried that too,
Couldn’t do so for long, my old self came through.
“Play hard to get, you’ll be appreciated more”
Oh!! That façade was such a bore!!!
“See what you can get, only then give”
I didn’t even try, was too disgusted by this!
“Don’t get attached, stay aloof”
When I heard this, I hit the roof!
Life is so simple, why complicate it.
Life is so beautiful, enjoy every bit!
Be yourself, there’s no one like you.
Real people are as it is very few.
Don’t change for anyone, don’t change anyone too.
You are God’s special creation,
There is only one you!
