Treading on the fragments of my life

I walk towards you

But my bare feet bleed not, despite the bane

For he now cushions my unrelenting pain,

It is still dark in this part of my world,

Though you stand there

I have no clue if you remain there alone or not,

If your arms are a-spread or have already begot

Though you stand there…

All I can hear is the softness of your voice,

Speaking of friendship

Guiding me through the entanglements and knots

Promising me a dawn which I have long sought

You do assure, that love will surely find me,

Just to keep the faith

To take a tiny step by little step, keeping sane

Gaze fixed into the horizon letting not hope wane,

Just to keep the faith…

What is deep in your heart, I know not my dear,

But in love I remain

Aware I am that you do not seek or for me wait,

And never have led me to dream or anticipate,

But, I remain in love…

But, of your friendship and care I am very sure,

So I walk towards you

Knowing that you will be long standing there,

With your hand outstretched in affection and care,

So I walk towards you…
