I mourn the death of a relationship that was never meant to be.

I met a man, who was just perfect for me.

I thanked all my lucky starts,

I said my prayers twice.

I couldn’t stop wondering what I had done, to deserve someone so nice.

He was kind and compassionate, with a taste oh-so-fine!

His knowledge was exemplary, about everything from books to wines.

His taste was impeccable, his knowledge immense.

He was always quick-witted, never for a moment dense.

We had long conversations, discussed everything under the sun.

As long as we were both together, we wanted no one.

Great times, great conversations, great company and great food!

Didn’t know what else I could wish for even if I could.

It was a perfect setting. I was enjoying it too much.

Everything was running like clockwork….

Then the alarm woke me up!!!!!
