I have wandered those streets Time and again Seen every nook and corner And those benches in the dotted gardens Filled with aging couples and children
I have felt the soft wind blowing Through my hair, entangling in my clothes And the balmy sun filter into me And lighten up my world, Time again and again
I have heard the clock tower chime And the murmur of the hurling falls Heard the swishing of the fountains At the square, while I sit and smile Content and at peace with myself
I’ve waited for you again in the foyer With eager anticipation and some nerves Looking forward to a magical day When we would long drive out And I would have you to my self, again
Millions of miles separate me from all this And yet in an instant I do all this Time and again, and again Till it has become such a part of me That I live more there than here…
