INVISIBLE MEMORIES

How do you hug someone who is not there anymore,

How do you dry an eye from which tears don't flow?

How do you speak to someone, who's ears are shut tight,

How do you console someone, who's lost before a fight?

Invisible memories surround us.

They are all around us.

What we did, or didn't do,

Cloud our judgement of what we should or shouldn't do.

A ride on the shoulders of the past gets you nowhere.

Shrug off the memories and walk ahead if you want to get somewhere.
