I'LL BE THERE

I’ve seen things go ugly,

I’ve seen relationship’s go bad

I’ve seen friendships souring

I’ve seen things that were very, very sad

But hope springs eternal

Even though all this may happen/or may have happened to me

I’ll still be the same person I am now….I’ll always be me.

I’ll still lend an ear or shoulder, to whoever needs one.

I’ll talk and encourage through the night a friend, till up comes the sun

I’ll point out to the rising sun, when all they see is a never-ending dark sky

I’ll give them hope, my biggest smile & wipe away the tears that cloud their eye

When friends say they feel ‘down in the dump’

I’ll give them a nice hard kick on their rump!

I’ll help them count their blessings, and help them forget when fortune looked away

I’ll remind them that the end of a long hard day is only a dawn away.

How do I know all this?

It’s because I have been through it

I’ve seen dark nights come and go and by lonely days I’ve been hit

I’ve known what it to be alone, when just with your fear and thoughts you sit.

I wish someone would have been there for me then, but there was no one.

And that is when I promised myself I’ll be there for everyone.
