Chosen Moment

He asked me,

How was it

For a woman

When that moment

Of craving, no longer fits…

A heaving surge, he said

Does have its time:

Sometimes coloured too

By an affection

Somewhat most fine…

But when that

Time moves ahead,

It leaves behind

Only a fondness

Divorced from the bed…

But reverse it is

For me at least, I said,

For when love

Comes to stay

It does yearning spread…

That moment, I mused,

Does it ever pass-

If it has

Left within a

Tenderness unsurpassed…

No clock does then tick,

No feelings go away,

For once love abounds

Instantly in an instant

Desire does passion sway…
