A PRINCESS' MISTAKE

She stands alone with shades of grey
Overlooking alone, across the bay
Watching the waves mingle together
Luring her with enchant of "come on over"
Indeed, this is what she should do
The only path she can resort to
Say goodbye to the broad daylight
Her life now is a shadow of a fateful night
When someone close betrayed her
With one embrace, portrayed her
Hardly ever could she believe,
Her royal heart's elegant thief
Would play with her dignity for pleasure
Casting her life into a turmoil all over
That one mistake, that one wave over embankment
Hardly anyone knew, the embrace became an embarrassment
Then, then he left her, like a wave leaving a shore
Never, never again to return to the same shore
He left the princess alone in the castle
Where fires ignited at light of tussle
She can't tell anyone anything,
Just carry on as mute witness to everything
With seeds of betrayal within her
She's on the verge of blossoming into a flower
But. won't it bring her disgrace
All due to a moment's embrace
With a mistake too grave to rectify
She closes every possible door and window and eyes
to bid everyone a silent goodbye.
