SECRET MEANING
Shall we
read between the lines
to ferret out the truth?
Perhaps extending verses
could provide the proof.
We analyze
it, line by line,
to find a hidden thought.
The mystery must be exposed
so that it can be taught.
But in
truth, I say to you,
there is no secret reason
Contained within my lines and words,
no hypocrisy or treason.
For a poem to be successful,
it must probe the readers mind
And bring to life that hidden thought
that is their own design.
What ever
secrets one may find
are those contrived by each
For only then can it be said
“The art exceeds it’s reach.”
