You stagger into bed
Whiskey on your breath
My own breathing tense
Yet another night of death
The silent lamb
Caught in the wolf's jaw
My body ravaged
By each sharp claw
It's not that I don't want you
Inside me, I really do
But I want my man
Not the animal in you
Tomorrow morning
You won't remember a thing
I'll hide my bruises
Even the parts that sting
Your tender kisses
Are bound to make me cry
Why do you do this to me?
Please tell me why
If you must lose yourself
Lose yourself within me
All your anger and pain
I'll absorb gladly
But why ravage me
And force me to live in shame
What give you this right?
Is it the fact I carry your name?
