KITE IN THE WIND - 2

The breeze was right

The wind was pure

Dancing gaily above

To her music she soared

Sun on her face

Tempest in her hair

Wings billowing

With an angel’s flair

The invisible string held

Her fast to his hands

In control he felt

Of her fate and lands

A surge, a strain severe

Snap, and away she went

Suddenly free, adrift, swept

To the course the storm lent

Aghast at her fate

Bemused at the fall

He watched her fly away

Beyond his recall

Would she entangle

With the thorns and wires

Tear her soul in the

Ensuing inevitable fires?

Or course to new horizons

Armored by her desires

And aided by the courage

Of her new found fires…
