As dark clouds
gather on the horizon
Of life’s bright and sunny day,
Remember that the day will be brighter
Once the downpour peters away.
The sea of life may be stormy
And hardship may be in store,
Remember to hold on to the helm
If you wish to reach the shore
And should the sun set on your troubles
And darkness engulf your plight,
Remember that the night isn’t endless
But just a prelude to the light.
And if the endless tunnel seems dark
And no way you see to the end,
Remember you must keep on going
The light is around the bend.
And yes the path is long and weary
And harsh lessons it will teach,
Remember that life is much a journey
Not a destination you can reach.
To wish that life could be easy,
Well…there is no such thing,
For, there are no shortcuts in life
If life is worth the living
