I Have Learnt

I HAVE LEARNT

I have learnt
True happiness ain't in wanting,
But giving and sharing selflessly

I have learnt
That happiness is not an external phenomena,
But something that comes from within

I have learnt
Its best not to have any expectations
Rather to take things as they come

I have learnt
That life is short
Every living moment so precious to me

I have learnt
That there is no tomorrow
All I have is now

I have learnt
Not to judge or castigate
Let other wise ones do that

I have learnt
Its best to have trusted and be betrayed
Than lose your faith in trust

I have learnt
In times of hurt to detach myself
For everything is momentary, not lasting

I have learnt
Its better to reach out a hand
You get some exercise that way

I have learnt
It's better to keep smiling always
It helps you in the darkest hours

I have learnt
Its better to walk ahead, not look back
Coz the meaning of life is progression

I have learnt
That my true religion is humanity
My offering to God being good actions

I have learnt
Never hate,
But rather love and not expect the same

I have learnt
To be myself for who I am,
Coz I cannot lie to the mirror

I have learnt
To take people for what they are
As they are, with all their virtues and faults

I have learnt
Not to build castles in the air,
Rather accept reality with humility

I have learnt
Love is life's greatest gift
Without it, am a withering flower

I have learnt
I do not need to justify to anyone
As long as I can justify to my soul

I have learnt
That its better to forgive
One feels more peace within

I have learnt
If wanted a rose,
I'd have to embrace the thorns too

Though all I've learnt,
I yet learn that my learning is incomplete...
And will learn till the end of time
