Hope

When God had completed the original significant thought
It was pleased by every life and emanation, which had been wrought
The jewels that were to be earth and sun and to hold eternal water
Along with two beautiful creations, of both a son and a daughter
The two could look up at the stars in the sky
And see an entire universe filled with life, and never ask why
Their nakedness was another gift that each one did receive
As gifts of beauty, holiness, and fruitfulness never to deceive.

Each child received the eternal gifts of mind, conscience and soul
As mirrors of their journey and rightful acts, to keep them whole
Along with free will to express the difference between wrong and right
Always to share and care and recognize at the end; the holy light
Not satisfied with their gift of earthly life
They ate of the evil seed and started the journey of strife.
Their time would be as a trial and fraught with pain
To help them God gave them gifts of children, again and again.

Their continuity would carry their seed from one eon to another
No one was exempt, for it was passed on, to every sister and brother
Some would cope and share in the distribution of good deeds
While others idolized gods of power, riches, and selfishness, as seeds
God's gifts were many for those blest with a mind body and soul
Even when they continued to eat evil seeds and denied their God was whole
The voice did accompany them on their journey's for their own protection
As children of the living God they would never again feel rejection.

From prophets to commandments and even tablets of stone
Their God would never abandon nor leave them alone
Despite the multitude of gifts heavenly sent
The evil seeds continued to multiply with each catastrophic event.
Another century about to begin and society is still awry
Selfishness, misuse of power, and no one will answer why.
Our time on earth can be measured in the tick of a clock
Why do we damage our future and oft times push them under a rock?

The evil seed does understand the word denial
But it knows humanities goodness will last but a short while
Mankind has the capacity with the help of God
To remove the evil seeds, and bury them in the sod
Creations in the image and likeness of God given life
God will not abandon, if we try to remove earthly strife
The holy one understands trials and tribulations with which we have to cope
If there are no solutions, at least the living will never lose hope.
