Getting ‘Spruced Up’ For Maine

(2nd in The Saga Of Karma)

Maine, now where on earth is that?

Probably it’s on the other side

Of the world… don’t these people

Know I’m small enough to hide?

Ouch! got a soap bubble in my eye,

I think I’m the cleanest dog around,

And all because my mistress seems

Determined to be Maine-ward bound.

My first ride in an airplane, mmm,

Wonder how that’s going to be?

I hope my ears don’t decide to pop

Or they’ll see another side of me!

All I can say is, it’d better be worth

Getting ‘spruced up’ and squeaky-clean,

I may be small, but when I’m riled

They’ll see ‘Karma’ can be mighty mean.

Well, as for this important ‘meeting’,

I say “nothing ventured, nothing gained’

I can only pray for one little thing,

That they don’t have bathtubs in Maine!
