ETERNITY

If eternity is what I seek

And an instant be that,

Will it stretch to an eternity

That instant instead?

Will then be it an instant

Or an eternity while it lasts…

Will it encompass all that

I’ve waited for so long at last?

Cherish the instant of today

For that be the eternity true,

Look not at that morrow gone

Or that which is yet to come new

I tell myself this as I look within,

Making sense of that endless wait

Make your eternity of instants that come

There will never be one whole eternal way…
