Full only of sadness, chaos and wasteful ways---

About me I hear so few, anguished at man’s devilish face

And see ghastly crimes wrought, while lives are ruined in play

Leaders, do not care, or lead, but cheat and ruin for a song

Nature is stripped raw, leaving it bleeding, forlorn

 But--- for, every war waged, I see many a righted wrong

Besides an orphaned child stands one, who heralds a new dawn

Killers abound, as do those that save many a lives they find

For the tears that fill us, there lingers laughter within us true

Every blow comes with a balm to heal the ache left raw behind

Bereft nude trees will blossom soon, says nature, for it is our Due!

Spring will follow in winters wake just as death is followed by birth

I simply cannot despair when so much love still abounds on earth...
