To have a hand reach out
Hold you, grip you tight
Pull you up leaving no doubt

To have someone care this way
Only as a true friend could
Make me see the light of day

To try, look beyond myself

To stop feeling so sorry

And feel too for someone else

To have someone make me forget my blues
But to have me reach out myself
And to think of others too.
