THE LOVER'S BIRD

Oh! how can you not feel the ethereal strains,
Wafting slowly deep inside the heart's straits,
Lifting spirits sponging pains instilling joy,
Nostalgic memories of past come flooding by,

Tell me love was it yesterday, or last drizzles,
The dear bird's sweet notes entwined our hearts,
The eternal bonds entangled our minds and souls,
Igniting life with flames boosting sagging morales,

In the cacophony of the world's selfish fumes,
Weren't we lost in the aura of its melodious tunes,
The lilting soft and chaste music of the sweet soul,
Drenched our entire being in peace and our love sole,

With eternal love, happiness, joy, mirth and bliss to blaze,
Wasn't it just the solitary strain enthusing so much solace,
O! cuckoo bird, the honeyed  harbinger of the soothing rains,
You are indeed every lover's heart and soul's soother of pains.
