Suspended in Silence

I clench my fists...as if to stop...time
As it slips through my fingers
Indifference seeps and drips through the walls
Cold, cold...freezing my heart
Tears suspended like time in a warp
Burning my eyes...threatening to fall
Unspoken words echo in the silence

I love you...I need you
...unspoken words

I clench my fists...as if to stop...time
As it slips through my fingers
I read the writing in blood on the wall
Fear runs cold...like ice in my veins
What if we wait till time has run out
and when all has been said and done
Nothing has really been said at all?
