Once with lies
and deceit a web you did weave
When you did seek and I did dream
That beautiful mirage that love did seem!
Our love song was strangely bitter and oddly sweet
And to its
rhythm danced our restless feet.
But now...
Just a nameless valley beyond the peak
No heart which to this heart can speak.
And
Out of this stony silence
In broken sequences ... arise memories...
A poignant me ... alone.
Emptiness consumes me
As this barren desert surrounds me
Echoing with your unspoken words
flung so cruelly at me.
Alone I stay in these shadows,
the deep dark shadows of life
This empty space...
This vacant gaze...
This endless wait...
Tears fill my very soul
Overflow, my eyes begin to brim
A solitary tear falls to the ground
....in silence.
