Maine MATH Stein Song [Note: The Maine Stein Song is the college fight song of the University of Maine in the United States and has the minor distinction of being the only college fight song (in the U.S. anyway) that has ever become a popular song, being recorded in 1930 by early-American crooner Rudy Vallee, who attended the UM in 1921-22. The song and words of the song were written in 1904 by two college freshman at UM, Adelbert Sprague (music) and Lincoln Colcord (words), and does what all college fight songs encourage its teams to do, well, fight! The following "Maine MATH Stein Song" may not encourage any college team to fight, but it will bring tears to the eyes of a good mathematics student. The Maine Stein Song can be found at the bottom of this page]
