My Neem Tree! Stretching her arms wider, She keeps the air in her embrace. Swinging slowly higher We breathe in a layer of pure air! Like a guard she stood there Preventing the evil eye’s stare! Rolling in my bed My eyes casually look - A cloak of darkness around her Made me shudder! Waves of chill air moves in And tells me not to fear! Smoothly blows the morning air – The fragrance of blooming neem flowers Spread through the air - And lets down a shower of flower. An unseen arm sets a shape of bower! Reluctant to tread on it Beetles took a way around! A missing splendor in my life - still Throbs through my veins Wishing me I am not far from my gain! ~Kalai Selvi Arivalagan~
