FANTASY

I imagine a place, suspended in time
Where there is all which we can’t seem to find

That one lost earring
The button of your shirt
The bit of my heart that I gave away
This was bruised and hurt

The letters that were posted
But never found their way to you
The messages that you awaited
But never reached you

I imagine words too, suspended somewhere in time
Words people claimed to have mouthed
That never reached the right ears in time
‘Please forgive me’ ‘Thank You’ ‘I’m Sorry’
‘Don’t Go’ ‘I Love You’ ‘Don’t Worry’

I wish to go to this place and claim what is mine
I imagine a place…suspended in time…
