A Tribute to Pope John Paul II

It was a sad day
When it was announced
That he had passed away
The end of an era
Of a man so pronounced
He who helped all
And for all did pray
He, the King of Catholics
For more than a Quarter Century
He has lived for humanity
And has now joined God’s Abode
Even though his passing away
Has brought us pain
Here in India, his good soul brought us rain.
A great man if ever there was one
Who gave his life for the helpless
He who even in his last hours
Prayed for peace even for atheists and faithless.
It is not to blame
That God did him claim
He lives on in our hearts
From god he can never part
A Kind old man
Even if he desisted some kind of people
He saw God in everyone
Truly a Christ Symbol
Even after his declining health
And suffering from Parkinson’s disease
He did not give up
He to his best, did his duties
Hail Pope John Paul II
This Tribute is for You
You who made Mother Theresa a saint
And into many peoples life
A colorful future did you paint
God has finally
Given you release
May your good soul
Forever rest in Peace.
