THE WORLD TODAY

 

The world around that I see today

Has all the shades of black and grey

 

War is going to prove a point

Peaceful ways are far from mind

 

Who is right and who is wrong

Who falls weak and who stands strong

 

'Mine’s best' is motto of the day

Respect for others is miles away

 

Even in sports hostilities go through

What’s sportsmanship, no one has clue

 

Diseases, poverty and terrorist scare

Have overshadowed love and care

 

Mind is clueless as to what to do

To make a difference or just get through

 

The heart sinks low at the scenario around

Then comes an angel and takes away frown

 

She comes as hope and soaks the gloom

She shows a way to escape the doom

 

She resides in us somewhere deep within

Delve her out, let the humanity win
