THE WORLD TODAY

 

One fine morning
A sparrow singing a song
Became silent all of a sudden
As if something has gone wrong.

A huge unidentified 'bird'
Making its way through the clear sky
Touches the ground ...
And with its gentle kiss
Silence all birds and every garden it destroys!

Fumes all around
Blood spurting from the wound
Burning streets and dead bodies
It's the world we live in today
Where we Thank God every morning
For showing us another day!

I still hear the sparrow sing
It sings the song of agony
"War is nothing but -
Someone's fury, Someone's glory
But common man's agony
That's all I have to say about the World today's story!"
