WAITING FOR YOU

Where are you
Hiding in the veil of long distance,
I see you standing by the sea shore
Though here I see your shadow,
You are so far but still so near,
Emotions of love etched in the sands of time
That even the waves cannot wash away,
I see your hairs fluttering in the breeze
Like many prayers whispered at the same time,
I see your smiling face,
Through my tearful eyes
But your picture is not blurred,
Beautiful as ever
You look lovely in all innocency and grace,
In solemn moment,
When the poet visited 100 years in the past
And came back with your love as a treasure,
Through the years so many things changed
But love stood glorious in an immortal tale,
I waited for you with arms wide open
To see pain and sadness trying to embrace me,
Waited for patience to yield deliverance,
To give in to the shake of illusions
Bur arms still remained wide in anticipation,
The day of judgment brought together two souls,
When I realized my arms were wide open
But so where the arms of my love,
What stood in between were strands of time
That finally passed its ultimate judgment,
That brought us together
Where the empty arms would never
Weep in solitude,
If they did they would find
The ever present lingering of someone,
Love is here to stay.
