MAGIC THROUGH A WIRE!

Had never heard that baritone before I think,
So completely male, sensual and magical;
Merlin of those ancient times couldn't have spun
A magic more intense, more mesmerizing;

Words softly spilled forth and rolled over
The edge, brimming with laughter and tenderness
Taking on a new meaning, soaked in nectar
So pure that I was instantly, once again, completely lost.

Didn't want that instant to end, the music
To cease, as he indulgently oft repeated a simple word
At my request, making it spin and cling fast
Into the recesses of my mind and soul

Words spoken aloud meant something else,
Those left unspoken, yearned to be heard;
Moments became eons and eons a split second
As all too soon it ended...leaving me.

With a smile on my face and a need
So severe, that I longed to reach out and try
Experience again, for another miraculous moment,
That voice I never had heard before, but maybe known forever.
