LONELINESS


No emotion is as overwhelming as the feeling of loneliness
It persists palpably even in midst of happiness
Basically moods are mercurial-we experience a whole gamut of feelings
Loneliness is rather a tyrant -it mercilessly engulfs our whole being

It is difficult to be shrugged off
And eats away our defense mechanism
Ever hungry to hog attention-
It monopolizes the heart and despondency sets in

When mind is thus groomed
Nothing seems to lift the gloom
Senses perceive but happy associations aren't signaled by brain
We fail to feel attached- the positive attitude goes down the drain

A lonely person is really pitiable
Wallowing in self pity- he feels wretched and miserable
With no hope of light at the end of tunnel
Yet destined to trudge-a fate really cruel!!

So better be wary of this fearsome feeling
Don't let go yourself when it pages you and comes calling
To survive without hope-is torture extreme
Always hold to some dream and fight away its gloomy scheme.
