Heart Beats

Down there,
In the basement of my heart ...
Apart from regular lub-dub
I here nothing,
No murmurs, no gallop,
No signs of stenosis or regurgitation
My heart is silent ...
As if in meditation!

Suddenly I hear ectopic beats few
And I know, my brain has conveyed the message
That my eyes have seen you!
I peep out through the windows of my eyes
I don't see you anywhere ...
I wonder what went wrong ...

I climb up to my brain
Asking it to explain
What message did it convey to my heart
So as to make it lose its rhythm!
The brain tells me then,
"Nothing much ...
I just remembered the moments you spent with him!"

See! How sensitive is my heart
It beats fast even on thinking about you
What would happen of it
if ever I t old my feelings to you?

My pulse would increase
And so would my heart rate
My blood pressure would shoot up
My heart will forget its lub-dub
Would have arrythmia for sure
Finally leading to heart failure!
