DRY TEARS

I am here today to say good-by
To express my thoughts and perhaps even to cry.
I'm sure she had her memories neatly tucked away
The events of sound and fun on those very special days.

I believe she also fulfilled God's desire for earthly toil
And unto God was a person who wore the cloth of loyal
May she again be afforded the sense and purpose of light
The beautiful gift to penetrate the darkness of every night.

Always the option to do what she will
Not to sleep and not to rest; and not to lie still
To again feel the treasure of earthly human love
Even to soar and fly with a heavenly dove.

May she keep in her soul the gifts of God's treasure
And in her heart her choices of earthly pleasure
At another time and place to thank God for all it has done
Then to hand her soul filled with love; over to the holy one.

Allow her to continue to wear the jewel of hope we call tomorrow
For another gift of renewal and remembrance, devoid of sorrow
She is not here now so I ask for her as I would ask for me
To know again of the love you have for a tiny sparrow, at the top of your tree.
