CALENDAR

The calendar on the wall!
You are so haughty- pompous
Changing dates monotonously
You strike attitudes- but are rather tedious
Proud of your accuracy
You document our ageing
You irritate and get on my nerve
Are you a friend or a foe truly bitter?
Dates connote memories
Joyous or melancholies
What a pity we cannot juggle
And have happiness in welcome continuity
Calendar is the main obstacle
Pontificating like a wise oracle
Obstinately refusing to change calculations
You give a damn to our tribulations
But you are really stupid as you flutter in air
Reveling in enforcing defeat on us mortals
Have you ever thought of your own fate?
How fast you are speeding to your sure death?
Dates are eating up your pages
As the year ends -you will be finished
This corner of wall where you are adorned
Will get covered with something more cherished
So ultimately I rather pity you
I, unnecessarily vented my anger against you
You and I, both have to follow time- as suits it
We do what we are destined to and need not grudge it.
