In Anticipation of Seeing You

My singing eyes strain to hear melodies

That the crimson sky does conceal

And these molten embers of glowing coal

Sparkle liquid with all that I feel

Silent lips savour this ocean of need

As the distance between us decreases

Yearningly I reach to paint with sighs

And scribble your name across the breeze

While I revel in the soft taste of those words

Which my digits had once freely spilled

Across those vast expanses of virgin moods

My heart resurrects, gurgles and slowly fills.
