HAIL THE PRINCE (27/07/2006)
In the safety of his neighbourhood, With his friends he was playing... Little was he aware, Of the deadly ordeal that was awaiting.
Prince, a boy of just five, Into a deep pit he fel. An innocent game of hide and seek, Was turning out to be a nightmare.
Hundreds gathered, Rescue operations began. Mighty little Prince, Never did he give in.
Alone and scared, He battled for 50 hrs. 60 feet underground! Admirable courage, that left people awed.
Tiny little Prince, Became the epicentre of national unity. As the masses of every religion, Prayed hard for his safety.
As i followed this live on TV, A chill ran down my spine. Unimaginable were the possible risks, Faced by the vulnerable child.
The trauma finally ended, He was brought out safe. Tucked in the comforts of a soldier's arms, Amidst much relief and rejoice.
He fought all odds, Defeated death. Not many would have survived, As well as he did.
Such was the perseverance displayed by the boy, That many were left inspired. Hail the Prince of Kurukshetra, Who is courage personified.
