Demon Of Reservation

Cacophony of wails rising from sacred bosoms

Shackles of caste once again tightened over

Blood riddled wounds of suffering humanity

Breathing strained, agonizing pains,

Stifled sobs, incessant sighs

Her million odd children being pulled apart

Divide between regions, rituals, languages,

Once again impaled Goddess of knowledge Suffering humiliating torturous pain

Heartless senseless lusting for power caldron

Inflicting fresh wounds over oozing ulcers,

Her pleading eyes beg for answers one last time

Why rusty iron shackles get changed with new more vicious ones?

Venomous fangs of the demon of Reservation

Bites away yet another chunk of this ailing society

Leaving the burdened youth writhing with pain

Leading to ruthless self immolation of bodies, hearts and souls

Igniting hatred in innocent hearts,

Weeping Goddess tied with chains

By the insatiate hunger of power seekers

Oh! Wake up slumbering humanity

  Endeavour to put an end

 To the sufferings of thyself...
