Nostalgic Moments 

 

I am sure there were moments
when you suddenly stood still
because the music that was straining through
your heart strings it did pull

I am sure there were moments
when you discovered an old perfume bottle
a  breath of which did bring
sweet  memories of the past

I am sure there were moments
when you saw a familiar path
a building or a house
and you remembered your childhood days

I am sure there were moments
when you saw your dog eared old diary
your faded childish writing
and you remembered your first crush

I am sure there were moments
when you tasted  a familiar dish
it was someone else's  favorite dish
and you suddenly remembered the person !

I am sure there were moments
when you took out an old favorite dress
you wore it once to a party or date
and you danced with your  favorite friend !

Nostalgia , Nostalgia !, what would we do without you ?
you do bring back to us
wonderful memories  of  people or things
