In Between

In Between...

In between the day you were born
to the day you die...
you often wonder why ?

There were days when you were happy
days when you were sad
sometimes you thought you were mad !

There were times when life was fun
there was so much under the sun
sometimes you were at the end of a gun

Sometimes you saw happiness
sometimes saw sorrow
you wondered about your tomorrow !

You saw people in great grief,
and some lost in love
you think it happened hand in glove

People mourning for those who were gone
some losing fortunes and sitting forlorn
you wondered where was the sun, that had shone ?

So between the day you were born
to the day you would die
you are so surely going to wonder why !

Why do children and good people suffer ?
why do countries and people go to war ?
makes you wonder why things are not on par ?

Why life is sometimes so short ?
often full of sadness rather than not
when it's happiness that everyone has sought !

In between the day your born
to the day you do die
you sit and often wonder why ?
