HUMANS ARE HUMANE?

Plain vegetables can soothe hunger
What a myth, meat makes you
stronger
Any animal, a bird or beast
How do you consider it a treat?
Poor animals, a part of feast
Their unheard misery you care the
least
Slaying another for one's joy
Subdued cries, and you seem to
enjoy
Such a bloodshed appetising your
hunger?
A life taken is what you savour?
A living grave is what you are
Every meal, you came so far?
A cut on skin, you throw out a cry
Their pain when killed, not even a
sigh?
Why this cruelty, why this
slaughtering?
Just a pledge, and be life
rendering
Pulses, legumes, cereals and
veggie,
Are salubrious for the human body
Just, training taste buds will help
reduce
This glaring form of animal abuse
